Navigate the observatory
Understand what is on the map—and what each signal can actually tell you.
Maps and controls
Use Satellite or Streets to change the basemap. Drag to move around and use the zoom controls to inspect a region. The 3D view requires WebGL; Low power uses the lighter Leaflet 2D map.
Region of interest sets the center for regional aircraft queries. Moving the camera does not change that query center. Street View opens the location view; an embedded panorama requires the relevant Google key.
Observational layers
Toggle layers to control what appears on the map. Select an observation to inspect its details and source. The seismic time window changes the earthquake lookback; it is not a historical playback control.
- Global stock markets: exchange-city hubs and regional listings.
- News and context: source-linked records with an explicit location basis.
- Prediction markets: automated place-name associations from titles.
- Physical world: earthquake, hazard and optional regional aircraft observations.
- Military & Security: historical reporting grouped at country anchors.

Read the signal carefully
A pin is not proof that an event happened at that exact coordinate. News mentions, user-supplied locations and title associations have different meanings. Wallet addresses alone do not establish geography.
Prediction-market prices are market snapshots, not Omens forecasts or calibrated probabilities. Equity listings and ADRs may have different identities and currencies. Check the linked source before comparing them.
Historical security counts represent articles, not unique or independently confirmed attacks. Aviation history returns aggregate reception-sample counts, not live military tracking.
